What a fantastic World Book Day we’ve had! Our children embraced the joy of reading through a whole range of exciting activities across the school.
Pupils took part in book swaps, discovering new stories to enjoy and sharing old favourites with friends. We were also thrilled by the creativity shown in our Extreme Reading Competition, with children finding the most imaginative places to enjoy a good book! The winners will be announced tomorrow!
To add to the cosy atmosphere, everyone came dressed in their comfiest clothes. One of the highlights was seeing our older children reading aloud to younger pupils, creating a wonderful sense of community and a shared love of stories.
We’re now looking forward to welcoming Dawn Gelston, author of Felicity Flipflops, who will be visiting the school tomorrow to inspire our budding readers and writers.
