P1 celebrate the Feast of St. Brigid (1st February 2023)

Today marks the Feast of St. Brigid and the Primary 1 children have been learning all about this special Saint.
We decorated our own crosses in the classroom then had a visit to the church today to say some prayers, light some candles, visit her statue and sing her a song. 

We sing a song to Brigid.
Brigid brings the spring.
Awakens all the fields and the flowers
And calls the birds to sing.

All were welcome at her door.
No-one was turned away.
She loved the poor, the sick and the sore,
She helped them on their way.
