ICT

23rd May 2025

This week, our P7 children teamed up with P3 for a fantastic cross-stage ICT session filled with creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork. The older pupils took on the role of mentors, guiding their younger peers through a range of exciting digital activities.

Together, they explored the world of micro:bits, where they programmed emojis, names, and even created a digital dice that flashed random numbers. The collaboration didn’t stop there — using Sphero balls, the pupils worked in pairs to code and draw shapes, learning about angles and movement in a fun, hands-on way. They also used coding bugs to navigate maps, helping each other give and follow directions accurately.

It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm, patience, and encouragement shared between the year groups. This session not only strengthened their digital skills but also built confidence, communication, and a real sense of community across the school.
