Brilliant Day at Downpatrick Racecourse!

We had the most fantastic morning at the HRI Racing Juniors Education Day at Downpatrick Racecourse today. Our pupils represented Legamaddy so proudly and soaked up every moment.

They loved:

• Meeting a trainer and even a racehorse
• Exploring the Weigh Room and learning about racing equipment
• Watching how the grounds team prepare and repair the track
• Getting up close to the Steeplechase fences and Hurdles
• Discovering what really happens behind the scenes on a race day

It was fun, interactive, educational — and a brilliant opportunity for our pupils to feel part of their local racecourse community.

A huge thank?you to the team at Downpatrick Racecourse for such a warm welcome and an unforgettable experience. Our pupils had a great day from start to finish
