Climate Change

St Patrick’s Primary School, Legamaddy 

Our P7 pupils were delighted to welcome Patrick McShane, who delivered an engaging and informative talk on Climate Change.

The session explored:

• The difference between weather and climate
• The impact of the Industrial Revolution
• Understanding greenhouse gases and our carbon footprint
• The effects of climate change and how our current lifestyles impact the environment
• Positive actions we can all take in everyday life to help make a difference

The pupils finished the session by creating their own Earth Pledge, committing to small but meaningful actions to help protect our planet 

A fantastic learning experience that has inspired our pupils to think about their role in caring for the world around them
