Big Money Lesson
P6 & P7 to Take Part in the Big Money Lesson – Wednesday 5th November
Pupils in Primary 6 and Primary 7 at Legamaddy took part in a special live webinar called The Big Money Lesson.
This interactive session is designed for children aged 9–13 and will help them explore their digital habits and how these connect to real-world money decisions. The session is part of a wider campaign by Money Ready during Talk Money Week, which aims to start conversations about spending habits and financial awareness among young people.
Led by a Money Ready trainer and joined by special guest Dr Ed Southall from Oak National Academy, the session covered:
- Making good money choices online
- In-game spending and gambling features in gaming
- The power of advertising
- Social media influence
- Building healthy habits online
This engaging and age-appropriate lesson will encourage pupils to think critically about how they spend money in digital spaces, recognise advertising techniques, and develop healthier online habits.
We look forward to supporting our pupils as they build confidence in managing money and making informed choices in today’s digital world.
