Our Primary 6 and 7 pupils recently took part in The Belfast Giants Healthy Lifestyle Programme for Primary Schools, delivered in partnership with Belfast Harbour. As part of the programme, we were delighted to welcome Belfast Giants defender Josh Roach to our school.
Josh spoke to the pupils about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, highlighting key areas such as balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, getting enough sleep, and positive strategies for managing stress. He also shared his own ice hockey journey, emphasising how making healthy choices has supported both his sporting career and overall wellbeing.
The pupils thoroughly enjoyed Josh’s visit and were inspired by his openness, enthusiasm, and practical advice. We are very grateful to Josh and The Belfast Giants for taking the time to visit our school and for promoting such an important message.
We can’t wait to visit the SSE Arena and see the Giants in action on the ice!
